Yea, Friday!!!!! :)

I am so glad that it is almost Friday, yeah!! Patrick and I are going to Burleson when I get off work tomorrow. We are going to babysit so John and Jenny can go out for their anniversary. I'm excited, because we haven't seen them in nearly a month, OH it has been a month. WOW. Time really goes by.
I will get to go with the kids to their swimming lessons on Saturday, as hot as it's been I'll probably want to get with them. Ha Ha

And can you believe it that next week is the last week of June. Another END OF MONTH at work. They come around way to often. Before we know it, it will be December, and then a whole new year.

Well, better get off here until probably Monday, since I'll be away I won't be blogging, take care and God Bless!!!

Trying to stay Young

Well, I guess we would all like to stay young or at least young looking, Right???
Well, I ran into an acquaintance a couple of weeks ago, and needles to say she didn't recognize me. Of course since I saw her last I cut my hair and let the color grow out. Like gray!!!! She made the remark to me that she didn't realize it was me that I had gotten OLD!!What!? Well I decided it was time to take action, so I did. Yes, I colored my hair back to my natural color, auburn. Lets see if you can tell if it subtracted years from me or not. All my co-workers said it looked good. Even the guys said it was better.

Patrick still has gout, poor thing, I feel so sorry for him but I don't know what else to do. He's taking the medicine the doctor gave him and keeping it up on pillows. Tomorrow he goes back to the doctor for his nose check-up. Hopefully it will be fine. I am just ready for him to be well.

Well, it's late as usual so got to go.
Till next time.

HAPPY FATHERS' DAY

Just want to wish all you Fathers a Happy Fathers' Day.
Hoping you had a great day with your family.
In church this morning our pastor preached on being a father and then spelled out the word with things the letters could mean. Here they are:

F- faithful, being faithful to your family
A- Anchor, being an anchor for your family
T- Tuff, being there through tuff times for your family
H- Helper, being a helper for your family
E- Example, always being an example for your family
R- Real, be real, not something your not

Be thankful if you still have your Father around.

Hope you all have a GREAT week.

Allergies, and Dumb things!!

Well, I feel like dodo, I am allergic to perfume, and today the new girl at work wore the perfume "Beautiful" which smells so good. But she was right beside me most of the morning, and my allergies went crazy. I can hardly breath. Hopefully tomorrow she will not wear any at all. This afternoon she tried to stay up close to the front of the store, but the damage was already done. :(

And then when I get home I have a message on my home phone. It's kind of strange, this guy is telling me, by name, that my number was given as a message number for Evelyn Harris Wagnon!! Well, this person is my ex-husband's ex-wife, who I have never met and don't even know. So the question is how did she get my name and number to leave as a message number for her. Since I don't even know her I don't know how I could give a message that some one called for her!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty Strange...

Well, guess I'll take some more medicine and get to bed, I know it's early for me but like I said I DON'T feel good. So if I get some rest and medicine tomorrow will be better.

And that's life in a small town.

Blueberry Festival

Well, yesterday we had a blueberry festival in our town. That's where people set up booths and celebrate the blueberry. We started the day off with blueberry pancakes. YUM!!! And of course they were selling blueberries, too. There was a pie eating contest, one with children, and one with adults. The Sunday paper said that Patrick won 3rd place on the adult contest. Yea! He also got his picture made with a guy there named Burt Hairgrove who did rope tricks. Let me see if I can add the picture without messing up.

They also had a pie contest to see who could make the best blueberry pie, and on how it was presented. I think next year I may try to enter that. Not that I'm a good baker but by the looks of some of them this year I think I have a pretty good chance.
Well, not much else to report, except Patrick still has gout. I took him to the doctor and got him medicine but I guess it just takes time to heal. UGH.

Well guess till next time.

What a Monday

Well, we went to San Antonio this past week-end to visit my half-brother. He is in a nursing home there and we don't get to see him very often. He is 36 yrs old, and is on a ventilator, and apparently there are no nursing homes anywhere close to this area. He has a muscle disease where all of his muscles are degenerating and now the muscles in his throat are so weak that he is now having to be fed through a tube. But he seemed to be in good spirits.

This morning, Monday, I decided to go and get my blood work done for my doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Use too, I would go to the Physicians lab and be in and out in just a few minutes. Well, now my doctor has a lab tech in his office that does it, and now it takes up to an hour to get your blood drawn. Ugh!!
I went in at 8:00am and did not get out of there until 8:53am, needless to say my doctor heard about it.
The last time I was there he told me to let him know how long I had to wait for blood work, well today I let him know. And the thing is I wasn't the only one that was there for blood work and was unhappy!!

Patrick has had his right foot swollen for several days, I think he has gout again. The only thing he can do is keep it propped up, and pain pills :) for the pain.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day! We have been busy at work, and of course with working with the public there are alot of stupid people, or should I say RUDE people. And we are working short handed, our boss fired two sales persons in the last couple of weeks and has not hired anyone yet to take their place. So he makes the scheduled and leaves our store short so he can make sure there are enough sales persons in our other three stores. :(

Well, guess I rattled on enough for now, till next time.
